Sled dogs can pull twice their weight for hours at speeds of 6 - 8 mph. With their dense coats and tough demeanour, they can thrive in extreme conditions. The more frigid it is, the more persistant the dogs are. They nestle into the snow when night falls, curling into a ball and wrapping their tails over their noses.

At daybreak as sleds are being prepared for travel, they pop up and anxiously paw the air, wanting to be the first one harnessed. It's truly amazing how hard these dogs work and how much they love pulling!

On the trail, one can observe wildlife in its native environment and savour the illustrious tradition of dog sledding. Breathe in the crisp, refreshing cold air and venture out into the wilds of the Near North with one of our experienced outfitters. Feel the thrill of the run as the dogs venture out in harmony.
